OSINT Early-Warning Engine
Know before
the news does
Vektor's OSINT engine monitors public signals, geopolitical channels, and social intelligence feeds — then surfaces an early-warning score before events cascade into market moves.
Grok-trained signal algorithm
Built from historical disaster precedents and key pre-event signals. Backtested against archived data in a sandboxed environment.
86% predictive accuracy (Panama Canal test)
Engine assigned 86% probability to the Panama Canal closure — validated post-event against backtested historical data.
Ongoing testing and optimisation
The model is actively trained and refined. Fresh-sandbox backtesting ensures signal accuracy improves without data contamination.
Shipping lane disruption indicators elevated in Red Sea corridors. Correlated with 3 historical pre-event patterns.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to know how to code to use Vektor?
No. The no-code algo builder gives you full strategy control through preset risk profiles (slow, intermediate, aggressive) and configurable parameters. You set the rules; Vektor executes them. If you want to write custom strategy logic, the code editor is also available — but it is entirely optional.
How does the mandatory backtesting work?
Before any strategy is allowed to run in live or paper trading, Vektor requires a successful backtest against historical market data. You define the time period and parameters; the platform runs the simulation and shows full performance metrics. This is a hard gate — not a checkbox. Once backtesting passes your criteria, paper trading is the next required step before live capital is at risk.
What is the OSINT early-warning engine?
Vektor's OSINT engine monitors public channels — geopolitical news feeds, regulatory filings, infrastructure data, social intelligence sources — and applies a Grok-trained signal algorithm to assign an event-probability score. The algorithm was trained from historical disasters and major market-moving events, backtested against archived data in a sandboxed environment. In testing, it assigned an 86% probability to the Panama Canal closure before it was publicly confirmed. It is an intelligence layer, not a trade signal; your strategy logic decides how to act on it.
Do I need an Alpaca account to use Vektor?
For live trading, yes — you connect your own Alpaca API keys. Vektor never custodies your funds or holds positions on your behalf; all live execution routes through your Alpaca account under your control. Paper trading is available without Alpaca keys, so you can backtest and simulate freely before connecting any brokerage.
What exchanges and instruments does Vektor support?
Vektor currently supports US equities and options via Alpaca's trading API. Multi-leg options spreads (bull call spreads, bear put spreads, iron condors, and more) can be built and sent as a single coordinated order. Additional instrument coverage is on the roadmap.
Is Vektor available to Canadian traders?
Yes. Vektor is built for Canadian and North American retail traders. Alpaca supports Canadian residents for US market trading. All Vektor pricing is in Canadian dollars (CAD). No specific regulatory authorization is required to use the platform; however, you are responsible for your own compliance with Canadian securities regulations applicable to your trading activity.
What does 'learning mode' do?
Learning mode runs a strategy in observation alongside live market conditions — it tracks what trades would have occurred without executing them, and provides performance attribution so you can calibrate your strategy before committing to paper or live trading. It is designed for traders who want to study a strategy's behaviour in real market conditions before any risk is taken.
